SSC JE Eligibility Criteria 2018

SSC JE Eligibility criteria 2018 is divided into 2 categories. Every candidate must fulfill all the mentioned below eligibility criteria like Nationality, educational qualification, and age limit. 1. Nationality/ Citizenship

  • Candidate must be either a citizen of India/Nepal/Bhutan, or
  • Candidates must be a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
  • Candidates must be a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Burma, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Zanzibar and Tanganyika), Zaire, Ethiopia,  Zambia, Malawi, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

SSC JE Educational Qualification

To apply for Junior Engineer Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical Posts of SSC JE 2018, Candidates must have passed B.E. / B.Tech. / Diploma from a recognized Board or University. SSC JE Application Form 2018

SSC JE 2018 online Application Form filling process will start from 12th December 2018. How to Apply for SSC JE 2018?

  • Candidate should read the read the instruction given in the Notice of Examination carefully before filling up the application form.
  • Candidate should supply all the required details while filling up the online form.
  • The filling of online application will be done in two parts
  • Go to http://www.ssc.nic.in>Apply>JE.
  • In Part I registration, the candidate will have to fill basic information like name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, gender, permanent address, category, etc.
  • Click on “I agree” button and then candidates will be asked to check the details. Thereafter no correction/modification etc. shall be allowed.
  • Then a page with Registration No. shall be generated. Note it down safely (will be used later anything regarding changes or when downloading admit card).
  • Now candidates are required to pay the application fee and those who want to pay online through SBI debit card/net banking/credit cards, can go directly to part II registration after completion of part I.
  • And those who are exempted from fee payment can skip 6 to 8 steps.
  • Now candidates are required to upload a recently taken scanned photograph in 8 – bit JPG format. The digital size of the file must be less than12 kb and greater than 4 kb and of resolution 100-pixel widths by 120 pixels height.
  • Then upload your scanned signature in 8 – bit JPG format. The digital size of the file must be less than 12 kb and greater than 1 kb and of resolution 140-pixel width by 60 pixels height.
  • Request for change/correction in any particulars in the Application Form once submitted will not be entertained under any circumstances.
  • Candidates can now take out a print out of the filled application.

SSC JE Application Fee

  • Candidates are required to make a payment of Rs. 100/- (either by cash or card).
  • To pay the fee in cash, candidates should take print-out of challan generated online after completion of part I registration. or,
  • Fee can be paid through SBI Challan / SBI Net banking or through credit/ debit cards of any bank.
  • The last to date submit online application fee is 7th January 2019 (5.00PM).
  • After your successful payment, your application will be complete and will be accepted provisionally.

Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribe, Scheduled Caste, Persons with disability and Ex-servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted (free for them) from payment of the fee. Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

SSC JE 2018 Admit Card

The commission will release the SSC JE 2018 Admit Card on the official website before 10 to 15 days of examination. SSC JE Exam Pattern

SSC JE Exam 2018 will be conducted in 2 phases. SSC JE Paper I (Computer Based) Examination Details

SSC JE Paper I is divided into three categories – General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, with Part –A General Engineering (Civil & Structural) or Part-B General Engineering (Electrical) OR Part-C General Engineering (Mechanical) which will be a multiple choice objective type Computer Based Examination and the total marks in this paper is 200. The total time duration of SSC JE Paper I will be 2 hours.

SSC JE 2018 Selection Process

SSC JE Selection Procedure 2018 is very easy, Candidates will be shortlisted and recommended for appointment by the Commission on the basis of their total marks in the Paper – I & II and preference for the posts. The candidates applying for the examination should make sure that he/she fulfill all the eligibility criteria.
