SSC GD Constable Eligibility Criteria 2018

SSC GD Constable Eligibility criteria are divided into three categories. Interested candidates who want to fill the online application are highly advised to check the Nationality, educational qualification and age limit before applying. If any candidate failed to fulfill the required eligibility criteria will be not be considered and his/her form will be rejected/canceled.

1. Nationality/ Citizenship

Candidate must be a citizen of India. Vacancies are state/ UT wise hence a candidate must submit domicile/ PRC against his/ her state/ UT.

2. SSC GD Constable Age Limit

Candidates must be 18-23 years as on 01.08.2018 and those who have been born earlier than 02.08.1995 and later than 01.08.2000 will not be eligible.

SSC GD Constable Educational Qualification

To apply for the post of (CRPF, BSF, CISF, SSB, NIA, ITBP, SSF and riflemen) SSC GD Constable 2018, Candidates Must have passed Matriculation or 10th class from a recognized Board/ University as on 1st August 2018 to fulfill their Educational Qualifications.

  • Candidates who have not passed or acquired the essential educational qualification as on 01.08.2018 will not be eligible and their application will be rejected.
  • The candidates must bring all relevant certificates/documents in original with self attested copies pertaining to age, caste, domicile, hill area, education, any category for relaxation, discharge certificate (in case of ex-servicemen)/No Objection Certificate (NOC) which will be verified/checked at the time of DME by CAPF Board.

SSC GD Constable Application Form 2018

SSC GD Constable 2018 Application Form online has been officially announced on 25th July 2018 but now it has been postponed due to the huge number of candidates applying and problem regarding OTP (one-time password) generation and it will restart on 17th August 2018 and the closing date is 30th September 2018. Candidates who are interested can visit the official website and fill the online Registration/Application form.

How to Apply for SSC GD Constable 2018?

  • Candidates are highly advised to read the instructions given on the official notification before filling the online application form.
  • Go to http://www.ssconline.nic.in or click on http://www.ssc.nic.in>Apply>GD Constable.
  • Candidates should now move to the Registration Part and fill the online application form after reading the instructions.
  • Candidates are now required to fill in basic information like name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, gender, permanent address, category, etc.
  • Click on submit button and check if there’s some correction need to be made.
  • After the submission of the Application Form, you will be provided with unique Registration ID and password. Note it down safely (will be used later when downloading admit card or anything regarding changes).
  • Now candidates are required to upload their latest color signature and photograph. The photograph and signature must be uploaded in jpg format. The signature must be at least 1 KB but less than 12 KB and photograph must be least 4 KB but less than 20 KB. Signature and photo must be clearly visible and photo must be identifiable. Applications with blurred photo/ signatures will be summarily rejected.
  • After completing the above steps, candidates should now take out a print out of the filled application.

SSC GD Constable Application Fee

  • After the submission of online application, Candidates are now required to make a payment of Rs. 100/-.
  • Fee can be paid through SBI Net Banking/SBI Challan or by using Visa, Mastercard or Maestro Credit or Debit card.
  • The last to date submit online application fee as of now will be 17.09.2018 (5.00PM).
  • After you have successfully paid the fee, your application will be complete and will be accepted provisionally.

Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Ex-Servicemen don’t have to pay any application fee.

Applications received without the prescribed fee shall not be considered and summarily rejected. No representation against such rejection will be entertained.

Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances nor will it be adjusted against any other examination or selection.

SSC GD Constable Computer Based Examination Details

SSC GD Constable Computer Based Examination will be of 100 total marks with 25 questions with each section. All questions will be of Objective Multiple Choice Type. The computer based examination will be available in both English/Hindi languages. For every wrong answer, 0.50 marks will be deducted. SSC GD Constable PST/PET Details

Based on the performance in Computer Based Examination(CBE), Candidates will be shortlisted for PST/PET. Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will be conducted at various centers finalized by the CAPFs. At the time of Medical examination, the candidate’s eligibility/ documents will be verified. Therefore, candidates are advised to verify their eligibility as prescribed in this notice before appearing for CBE/ PST/ PET. Candidates who are found eligible on height parameters will undergo PET (race) followed by technology/biometric aided identification. Candidates who are eligible for any relaxation i.e. height, age and chest measurement will be carried out after qualifying PET (race) before PST by CAPFs PET/ PST Boards.
