CLAT Counselling 2019: Candidates who have secured the place in the merit list of CLAT 2019 will be then called the CLAT 2019 Counselling. CLAT will conduct the Counselling/Admission procedure to UG/PG programs at respective participating universities which are accepted by CLAT through Online Counselling.   • CLAT 2019 Application Form
  • CLAT Admit Card 2019
  • CLAT Result
  • Class 10th Marks-sheet (Date of Birth proof)
  • Class 12th Marks-sheet
  • NRI Certificate (If applicable)
  • Specially-Abled (SAP) Certificate (If applicable)
  • Domicile Certificate (If applicable)
  • Sponsored NRI Certificate (If applicable)
  • Caste Certificate (If applicable)
  • Current passport size photographs

Follow the step by step process below to get a clear idea of the entire Counselling process.

Publication of first admission list

CLAT officials will publish the merit-cum-preference on the official website based on the CLAT exam. The first list will be published university-wise.

Pay CLAT Counselling Fee

After publication of the first list candidates who are selected need to pay the counselling fee and take part for admissions in the participating colleges under CLAT.

Counselling Fee: Rs 50,000 for Selected candidates

After paying the fee, candidates need to follow the steps below:

Seat Lock

Candidate can choose the seat as per their preference and if they are satisfied with their choice they can Lock/Confirm their respective seats in order to stick with their seat.

Upgradation

Candidates who have chosen a seat as per their preference but not get their desired seat can upgrade his/her seat for the next counseling. This upgradation will mainly depend on the no of seats vacant after first publishes list.

Note: The default choice selected for all candidates will be ‘lock’ in the online counselling form.

Counselling fee submitted by the candidates will be adjusted in the final fee that they have to pay at the National Law University (NLU) in which they secure their admission.

Note: Candidate who will not pay the counselling fee at the given time will lose the right to secure his/her admission to NLU. His/her name will be removed from the list.

Publication of second admission list

  • The CLAT office will release the second merit list for all the candidates who have paid his/her Counselling fee and secure their seats.
  • Candidates whose names have been dropped from the list will also be published in this list.
  • Those candidates who have been provisionally selected/accepted have to submit the counselling fee in the given time frame.

Publication of Third admission list

  • The CLAT officials will now publish the third admission list of the candidates those who have successfully paid his/her counselling fee and secured their seats in the participating NLU’s.
  • Candidates whose names have been rejected/dropped from the list will be published in this list.
  • Those candidates who have been provisionally selected/accepted have to submit the counselling fee in the given time frame.

Publication of Fourth Admission list

  • Candidates who are provisionally accepted/selected can withdraw his/her seats within the given time period. The officials will deduct Rs. 10, 000/- as security fee from the submitted counselling fee.
  • Candidates who have submitted the fee and reserved the seats can see his/her names.
  • This list will consist all the names those who have paid the fee against the first, second and third round list.

Completing admission formalities

  • After the candidates have secured his/her seats, they have to visit/report at the allotted NLU for admission along with the balance amount.
  • The candidates have to carry all the required certificates/documents mentioned above issued by the competent authority.
  • All the documents must original along with a photocopy of each.
  • The candidates failing to meet the eligibility criteria/document verification he/she will not be allowed to get admission.
  • Candidates of reserved/various categories will be required to obtain all the original certificates/documents from the competent authorities and bring them at the time of admission.
  • Candidate fails to report at the allotted NLU to complete, his/her admission formalities will be over and their fee of Rs. 50,000/- will not be refunded.
